  11. Full-screen editor for file and subdirectory descriptions.

  14. COMMENTS
  15.  
  16. 4DESC is a full-screen editor for file descriptions (up to 40 characters) 
  17. for MS-DOS filenames and subdirectories.  It presents a sorted listing of 
  18. the chosen directory, similar to the SELECT directory, and allows you to 
  19. add, modify, or erase descriptions for each file and subdirectory.  You may 
  20. cut and paste descriptions from one file to another.  Press F1 while in the 
  21. 4DESC editor for details.

  23. The 4DESC options are:
  24.  
  25.     /mono  Display in black and white.
  26.     /help  Display the help screen before editing.
  27.            Note that the chosen directory must be the last option.

  29. CAUTION: If any files in the chosen directory previously had descriptions 
  30. longer than 40 characters, those descriptions will be truncated when you 
  31. save your work.
